Position available as an Cable installer to perform installations on

low voltage structured cable systems

Summary: Installer for Low Voltage Structured Cable Systems. Knowledge in installing, terminating and troubleshooting Category 5e, Category 6 and Fiber Optic cable is preferred but not required.

Requisite Skills and Knowledge:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Driver's License, clean abstract

Must participate in company provided training, when required

Physical Demands:

Job Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, etc.

Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).

Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14 ', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladder by one’s self.

Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, respirator) at all times, when required.

Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, night shifts and overtime (as required).

Must be available for off island work and travel.

Physical Requirements

Includes climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, and able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of

100 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects.

Must be able to operate power tools (corded and cordless), powder actuated tools, hydraulic tools and basic hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, side cutters, tin snips, measuring tape, torpedo level, etc.).

Must have normal color vision.

Vision must be correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contact lenses.

Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.

Physical work is primary part of the job.
