Snow Removal: Shovel Team Members

We are seeking on-call Snow Shovel Team Members to join our team this winter. Being successful in this work requires Team Members to work well together to finish their assigned tasks, then stepping up to help others when needed. The ability to work safely and efficiently is essential. We focus on delivering high-quality service to every client during every event, and this calls for Team Members to be on-time and dependable throughout the entire season. This is a seasonal, part-time position with varying hours based on weather conditions.

Team Member Benefits

Base Pay: $19- $22 / depending on experience

Paid Training: $13 / hour for training (typically 2-4 hours of training)

Team Member Responsibilities

Complete DJ's Landscape Management Safety Training

Learn a specific route of customer sites

Shovel snow according to customer specifications and company quality standards

Spread salt according to customer specifications and company quality standards

Complete work safely, without accidents or incidents

Communicate effectively when issues occur

Complete job details including hours, activities and materials in a timely and accurate manner

Position Requirements

Must be 18 or older

Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work

No experience needed; training will be provided. Higher range of base pay offered to candidates with professional snow removal experience.

Must be able to complete training as required.

Available for overnight, on-call work from November through April, or majority of season

Flexible availability desired including nights, days, holiday and weekend work

All candidates for this position must

be physically capable of heavy manual labor and able to stand for duration of shift.

be physically capable of completing a shift that involves constant moving, walking, stooping and kneeling.

be able to use hands to operate, lift, grasp, carry, push and pull.

be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. or more, including bags of salt and other materials, several times throughout shift.

be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation.

have access to proper apparel for working outdoors in the winter, including boots, gloves, hats and / or ear protection.
