Medline Industries has an opportunity available for a 1st shift Quality Inspector (6:00am - 2:30pm) based out of our Howell, MI manufacturing facility. Inspector will review and inspect various finished products to ensure adherence to quality guidelines. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working individual, who is comfortable working for a fast-paced, growing organization.Perform incoming inspection per applicable procedure.Ensure that inbound shipments are from properly licensed vendors. Interface with Corporate Regulatory Department to obtain licenses from unlicensed suppliers.Train branch personnel on Compliance with Quality System Regulation (QSR), Department of Health/ Board of Pharmacy, and Medline policies, procedures and work rules.Monitor approved documents and identify errors or omissions for correction.Operate test equipment and perform simple measurement activities.Perform Stock Checks and Rework inventory when requested.Maintain working/reporting relationships and communication with branch management.Medline offers a business casual, entrepreneurial work environment with strong growth potential, a competitive compensation package, and a complete benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life insurance; 401(k) with company match. And much more!EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Relevant Work ExperiencePrior quality control experience in medical device and/or drug manufacturing setting required.AdditionalBasic level math skills.Intermediate level understanding of FDA/ QSR/ ISO14551 guidelines.Intermediate level knowledge of ANSI/ ASQCZ1.4-current revision.Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).Physical RequirementsLift up to 60 pounds. Sit, walk or stand for prolong periods of time. Display specific vision abilities including, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in hot and cold environments, (32F - 95F). Ability to encompass heights.
