An acute care, not for profit Hospital in Southern Washington is currently searching for a skilled, motivated, Certified Respiratory Therapist to join their growing Cardiopulmonary Services team.

The dedicated staff at this hospital assists patients in areas such as Behavioral Health, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology, Family Maternity Center, Outpatient Lab Services, and Surgical Services (Inpatient and Outpatient General Surgery, OB / GYN, and Orthopedic Surgery); just to name a few.

Reporting to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services, the Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for conducting all therapeutic and diagnostic services within the Cardiopulmonary department, in accordance with the orders of the attending physician and approved policies, procedures and protocols.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will oversee the departmental functions of a unit that sees patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system.

The Certified Respiratory Therapists in the department manage life support mechanical ventilation systems and artificial airways, monitor equipment related to cardiopulmonary therapy, analyze blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other gases, assess lung capacity, conduct rehabilitation activities, and continue to educate patients as they undergo these therapies.

The skilled professionals here always have the patients care in mind.

As a graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Respiratory Therapist program, The Certified Respiratory Therapist will use their thorough knowledge of neonatal and adult ventilator management theory, pulmonary anatomy and physiology / pulmonary pathology, and knowledge of gas monitoring, to administer pulmonary assessments and care for patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary illnesses.

They will use their excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay patient conditions to the attending physician / nursing team.
