Job Description

You will be responsible to manage and optimise the production, labour and metallurgical capability of the plant by reviewing performance trends and expediting the required steps. The Process Overseer has the Legal accountability for a shift with a 2.9.2 appointment in terms of the MHSA.

Key focus areas will include:

  • Safe and effective operation of the plant
  • Good employee relations
  • Effective administration of necessary systems
  • Engagements with other departments

This role reports to Metallurgical Production Engineer.

Experience required:

  • Five years experience as a Shift Leader
  • Passed relevant training (Shift Leader Development Programme)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of production process – advantageous

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Grade 12 (Math’s & Science) or NQF Level 5 Certificate relevant to metallurgy

Additional Information

If successful, you willbe required to undergo aMedical Fitness Certification.

Valid driving licence code 08Intermediate computer literacyEnglish literateGood decision making skills
