Job Status: Full Time / 5 days and nights / 40 hours

JOB # 1 Schedule availability: Mon- Fri. / 4:00am to 1pm / Edison NJ

JOB # 2 Bi-lingual Spanish / Schedule availability: Tues- Sat / 11:00am to 9pm / Carteret NJ

Industry: Transportation / Delivery / Logistics

Career Level: Paraprofessional

Company Screening: Must successfully complete pre-employment testing / back ground / drug screening.

Warehouse Location: Furniture Distribution Centers in Edison or Carteret NJ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective This position is responsible for processing information pertaining to merchandise to be returned to the Furniture Warehouse.

Essential Functions Examine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms. Enter return information into the computer.

· Call customers concerning their return and orders.

· Prepare internal Furniture Return Logs and other forms for all returned goods and track all inventory transactions made through the returns process.

Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, file carts, furniture dollies, hand truck.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· Lift stock 50-80 lbs.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

· Inspect 26 ft box truck.

· Physically separate recycled trash and / or un-trucks.

· Driver License.

Preferred Education and Experience

· One-two year of prior big box - retail / logistics experience.

· Prior experience working with computers / shipment labels.
