Franchise hotel in Secaucus, NJ is looking for professional, courteous, and talented team members for its front desk team. Experience is a plus, however, quick learners adept at using computers, providing customer service, and able to understand basic accounting are encouraged to apply. Must be available 11PM to 7AM, part time and full time available. Weekend needs are a must.

Prior experience is a plus, especially with the OPERA property management system. Typing test will be given at interview and applicant must be able to type quickly. Clean driving record and driving abstract/history will also be required.

Responsibilities:

-Provide guest services. This includes providing guests with information such as nearby restaurants, sights, transportation, directions, etc. All desk clerks must be able to converse clearly in English with hotel guests, resolving any potential needs or complaints, in a courteous and sincere manner.

-Creating and modifying reservations.

-Collect money (cash/card/check) and post charges, all utilizing the computer system. You must also be able to manage a cash drawer, and will be held accountable for all cash coming in and going out during your shift.

-Data entry. Minor data entry tasks during the night for hotel accounting purposes.

-Other responsibilities will include cleaning lobby and office areas and other clerical duties.

Requirements:

-Familiarity with Windows operating system

-Ability to learn hotel's reservation computer system

-Well spoken English, be able to converse face to face with guests

-Ability to politely and calmly resolve guest needs or complaints

-Able to use calculator

-Must be well groomed and presentable. Clothing worn must follow hotel guidelines.

-Respect towards coworkers, guests, and management.

-Punctuality - must be on time

-Ability to lift 30lbs
