The Radiology COS serves as a physician leader for all medical imaging and professional practice matters at EJCH. The Radiology COS at EJCH works closely with the Vice Chair, Clinical Affairs to coordinate operational, quality, and management matters across Emory Healthcare. A brief position summary and scope of duties follows.Position Summary for COS at EJCHSpends at least 60% of professional effort at EJCH
Provides administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership on behalf of Radiology at EJCH to ensure that strategic goals and key performance measures are achieved
Ensures high quality service to our patients, families, and referring providers at EJCH
Supports and facilitates professional activities at EJCH related to the research and educational missions
In partnership with the Director, Imaging Services, coordinates operational, strategic and administrative decisions as they pertain to the imaging practice at EJCH
Serves as a liaison to clinical partners and hospital administration at EJCH, effectively managing key relationships
Actively participates on relevant committees at the hospital and department levels
Advocates for Radiology faculty, staff and learners and facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations
Works closely with other department administrative leaders on a variety of business matters, including but not limited to: provider credentialing, imaging quality and patient safety, information technology, operating budgets and capital planning
Minimum QualificationsMD or DO, ABR Board-certified/eligible, subspecialty certified or eligible, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
Minimum of 5 years or equivalent leadership experience, including radiology operations, quality improvement, and/or clinical service deliveryReporting:
