The goal of the Emergency Room staff at both Sumner Regional Medical Center and Sumner Station is to offer the highest-quality health care to all our patients, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We strive to deliver these services in a professional and compassionate manner with physicians and nurses who specialize in emergency care and specialists in many fields who are available for consultation.
The Sumner Regional Medical Center Emergency Room is accredited by the American College of Cardiology as a Chest Pain Center with PCI. This means we have a call team made up of the cardiac catheterization (cath) lab staff and an interventional cardiologist who arrive at the facility within 30 minutes of STEMI activation, available 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Assistant Director will assist in the Direction of the Emergency Services department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Reports to: Director - Emergency ServicesMinimum EducationBachelor’s degree in Nursing - Required.
Associate's degree in Nursing considered with agreement to obtain BSN within agreed upon timeframeRequired Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.Certifications:
o BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required to be current upon hire.
o ACLS & PALS certifications from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment in position
o TNCC certification required within 12 months of employment in positionLicenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure required.Minimum Work Experience
