Description:Providence is calling a Crisis Counselor (0.75 FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Social Work Emergency Room at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.Develops post hospital plans for patients, provides emotional support for patients and their families and assists other members of the treatment team in the integration of psycho-social issues into patient care management.In this position you will:Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills and behaviors in the physician, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.

Enters required data according to department standards into the Emergency Department – Social Workers Work Log.

Coordinates discharge instructions with the physician and nurse working with the patient.

Communicates orally and in writing in the chart with other team members and disciplines so as to insure that discharge needs and plans can be understood and executed by others as appropriate.

Is able to efficiently and appropriately access resources in the community as needed to implement discharge plans for her/his patients.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Masters Degree in Social Work or related field of study

Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical License

Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist or Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Experience in social work and crisis interventions in a hospital or acute treatment setting

Experience with both involuntary and voluntary psychiatric hospitalization

Preferred qualification for this position include:Chemical dependency counselor/ alcohol and drug abuse counselor experience
