Job Description
Mandiant’s Front Line Applied Research and Expertise (FLARE) team works on our in-depth reverse engineering and malware analysis support to various functions of the Mandiant Solutions business. By utilizing front-line knowledge gained from incident response engagements, malware samples, and globally deployed FireEye products, FLARE is able to find evil and expand wisdom.
Threat Data Engineering team helps the FLARE team to build solutions to hunt evil. The team is looking for talented engineers to help build a new threat analysis platform. This application will be used by our threat and security analysts to detect threats using patterns in the data that FireEye collects from various data sources. You’ll join a team of high-performing engineers who strive to build a highly scalable and performant analytics platform.
What You Will Do:- Be part of a cutting-edge engineering team and help shape the architecture, requirements and overall design of the product
- Collaborate with the engineering team, product owner, and product manager to translate user stories and business requirements into production-grade solutions
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, scalable and performant micro-services
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
Qualifications
Requirements:- Experience with designing and developing microservices
- Experience with high-performant REST APIs and a strong understanding of HTTP
- Excellent proficiency of one or more of the following languages: Golang (Preferred)/Python/Java
- At least 1 year of experience programming in Golang, and 8+ years total software development experience
- Experience with unit test and automation test frameworks
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization best practices in microservices architecture
- Understanding of secure coding fundamentals and common threats of web applications
- Experience with relational database management (experience with graph databases is a bonus)
- Experience with distributed system communication through RPC (gRPC is preferred)
- AWS, CI/CD and Kubernetes/docker experience is desired
- A problem solver with strong computer-science fundamentals and programming skills
- Strong work ethic and a proven experience and commitment to agile product development and delivery

This position can sit anywhere in the continental United States with preference to Reston, VA.
