Job Description

As a Corporate Administration Supervisor at Expeditors, you will ensure a great customer experience for our employees. Through collaboration, you will work with various stakeholders to ensure the administrative needs of our people are met. You will tirelessly drive engagement, consistency, standardization, and improvement as you work towards helping us achieve our goals. The Corporate Administration Supervisor oversees our Catering and Events, Communications Room (Mailroom / Front Desk), and Corporate Administration teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Hire, develop, and manage a team of administrative professionals
  • Assist with creation and execution of the Corporate Administration strategy
  • Oversee and ensure optimal efficiency in all aspects of Corporate Administration, including catering and event planning, facilities management, front desk, mail room, and general administration
  • Oversee major events such as the Holiday Party, Employee Appreciation Day, and Bring a Student to Work Day
  • Ensure operational issues are addressed timely
  • Review and approve order requests and vendor invoices
  • Ensure compliance with various administrative procedures, processes, and policies
  • Provide consistent communications to stakeholders on the status of team activities
  • Audit Corporate Administration services, commitments, and goals on a consistent basis to ensure accountability to our stakeholders
  • Implement standard processes and procedures to ensure a consistent customer experience across corporate buildings
  • Create and manage the Corporate Administration annual budget
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the Corporate Administration Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Intermediate-levelMicrosoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining deadline constraints
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years' experience managing catering and events
  • 1-2 years' administrative experience
  • 1-2 years' switchboard experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience managing direct reports
