About the Position
We have a Full-Time opening for the Maintenance Technician I position to provide support to our Maintenance Supervisor for multiple programs/facilities located within the Rogue Valley (Jackson County), OR.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
This position will perform preventative building maintenance/repairs, landscape maintenance and improvement projects for facilities, which include but are not limited to: replacing air filters, inspecting for plumbing leaks, replacing caulking and ceiling tile grout in bathrooms and kitchens; painting as needed; maintaining exterior facility appearance to ColumbiaCare’s standards. This position may be responsible for weatherizing facilities; assessing and reporting damage to the property Maintenance Supervisor; making repairs to damaged property as assigned; and identifying safety hazards, and communicating issues to the Facility Administrator and the Maintenance Supervisor, and maintaining facility project logs.
Qualifications
Must have basic knowledge and experience of general construction and landscape maintenance
Ability to operate power tools and yard equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills to relate to administrators, staff, residents and vendors
Experience in project planning and estimating costs is preferred
Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize work and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
Ability to work independently with little on-sight supervision
Due to project deadlines, some scheduling flexibility may be required
Requires the ability to climb ladders and stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, dig, push, pull and carry up to 75 lbs., stand and walk for long periods of time
Work environment may include indoors, outdoors, and in inclement weather
Must have own reliable mode of transportation to travel to various program locations. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
Pay & Benefits
Starting at $15.00 per hour/DOE. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which includes: medical, dental, and vision coverage; a wellness reimbursement program; substantial sick and vacation accruals (12 days per year each); once eligible, nine (9) paid holidays, and a 403(b) plan with a generous 6% company match immediately vested.
