We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented
Senior Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of experienceperforming consulting services to internal and external clients. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a high-level ability to manage multiple clients and multiple projects at one time. Client relationships are key to our success. Individuals should be accustomed to building relationships with clients and using those relationships to develop new opportunities.Technical skills will include, but not limited to: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and communication system design; building code and fire code analysis; egress analysis; fire-resistant rated construction analysis; smoke control analysis; smoke control testing and/or commissioning; as well as consult on general fire protection and life safety concepts.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements / Certifications:- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or related engineering field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in fire protection engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the fire protection profession
- Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and/or Revit (preferred)
- Experience with FDS/Pyrosim/Pathfinder software (preferred)
- Possess project management skills for managing internal projects as well as external client needs
- Managing day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations
- Attend and participate in local and national trade organizations, such as SFPE and NFPA
- Performing research and document for internal and external distribution
- Performing analysis of existing fire protection systems, as well as designing new fire protection systems including suppression systems, fire detection, alarm and mass notification systems
- Performing building and fire code analysis and interpretation
- Completion of smoke control rational analysis for atria and high-rise smoke control systems
- Performing smoke control special inspection and/or commissioning services
- Performing computer-based fire modeling and familiarity with performance-based design
- Building and fire code analysis and interpretation
- Effectively communicate, both written and verbal, including oral presentations
- Possess intermediate level computer skills necessary for daily activities, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, simple graphics, and a working knowledge of computer aided drafting
