Product Sorter

Description:

The main function of this position is to sort food products in order to separate qualities and sizes. This position reports to the sorting supervisor and/or the warehouse supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Check quality of products

Separate number one and number two products

Report quality and conditions of product to Supervisors.

Maintain his/her work area clean

Help clean warehouse/equipment when needed

May be asked to do other duties if needed

Competencies:

Quality Control- This individual must complete the daily work in a timely manner and always double check the work performed in order to verify that the work is done correctly.

Dependability- This individual must be able to show up to work ready, prepared and on time everyday to work.

Physical- This individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Also needs to be able to bend, reach and lift over his/her head. Will be required to stand for long periods of time.

Education/Experience- Must be able to perform basic math skills such as adding and subtracting. Must have a good understanding of food product qualities and varieties.
