An established, mid-sized, defense law firm, is seeking both full-time legal assistants and paralegals with 3+ years litigation experience. Ideal candidates will be hard-working, reliable, knowledgeable about the defense side of litigation including Answers, Discovery, Motions, Experts, Ordering of Medical Records, Investigations of parties, and working with various types experts in the defense field. Overall case management experience, from start to finish including drafting of Releases and other closing documents is critical. Must have experience in both State Court and Federal Court venues.
Qualifications
3+ years of legal assistant / paralegal experience
Must be familiar with both State and Federal Court documents and filing procedures
Possesses good writing and communication skills
Ability to capture time entries relating to work performed
Experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel;
Ability to know deadlines pertinent to discovery and calendar same.
