Business Development Manager (BDM)

We are a family owned enterprise located on Whidbey Island with multiple operations in a variety of industries. We value our team members and the communities across Washington which we serve. We are looking for someone to help us to grow our reach to serve more customers.

What The Position Is:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for helping our company grow across our multiple business activities. The BDM will be directly involved in building upon our successes by acquiring new clients. The BDM will conduct B2B and B2C sales activities daily. This position will be based out of Clinton on Whidbey Island.

Who You Are:

Frankly, you are a Sales Superstar. You preferably have a minimum of 2 years sales experience. As a sales professional, you pride yourself on being a hunter rather than a gatherer. You get excited about the challenge of objections and know how to overcome them. You are motivated by having a goal and CRUSHING it. You are FIRE on the phones and have the drive to make a CRAZY number of calls per day. You are a team player who loves to work independently. You have a warrior mentality that does not allow you to settle for defeat.

Responsibilities

Set monthly sales goals

Develop daily plans for achieving sales goals

Document daily sales activities

Generate sales leads

Identify and assess customers’ needs to ensure suitability of our services

Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools

Meet sales targets and call handling quotas

Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents

Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

Take the extra mile to engage customers

Grow and nurture accounts

Generate reports on sales activities

Engage in networking events

“Cold” call potential customers to share our services

Create sales materials as needed

Skills

Proven sales experience in B2B and/or B2C positions

Track record of over-achieving quota

Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

Familiarity with CRM systems and practices

Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Comfortable contacting business owners

Responsible and dependable

High school diploma

Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Must be able to pass background check

Must be legally able to work in the U.S.

Job Duties:

Generate sales leads

Call on potential customers by phone or in person

Be passionate about sharing our services

Attend local networking events as required

Report on sales activity regularly

Follow up with leads in a timely fashion

Developing commercial account leads

Record customer information within our customer service database

Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns

Other duties as requested
