Essential Responsibilities

-Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, record medical history, confirming purpose of visit.

-Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical test, taking vitals, reporting and documenting patient history.

-Save provider's time by helping with office procedures such as patient preparation , patient monitoring

-Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations

-Servers and protects Lynx Healthcare's practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state and local accomplishments.

-Vital Semi-Administrative clinical position which requires a good understanding of the importance of accuracy, attention to detail and EMR expertise.

-Update HPI and populate related labs, imaging studies, and testing results.

-Pull WA PMP (and two-state check) for each patient

-Loads pertinent information from previous note to the current visit.

-Prepares the chart in all manner for the scribe and provider

-Anticipates provider plans, order, and prescriptions

-Completes patient visit with risk/benefit description discussion of medications, procedures and referrals

-Schedule follow up appointments as needed.

-Explaining treatment pre and post op procedures to patients

-Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens

-Instructing patients about medications and special duties

-Transmitting prescription refills as directed, call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies

-Clean and maintain instruments

-Provide patient education as directed by the doctor or other provider

-Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointment

Requirements:

-Two years of healthcare experience

-Medical Assistant certification

-BLS/CPR

-Ability to work in fast paced environment

-Detailed oriented

-Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology

-Flexibility in work schedule

-High standard of ethics and confidentiality

-Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
