$58,499 to $68,249 per year depending on experience

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

Entry-level – No experience required! Must be admitted to the Idaho State Bar.

Experienced practitioner – Must be admitted to the Idaho State Bar. Prior experience in criminal law preferred but any prior experience considered. Depending upon the nature and level of experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for either a misdemeanor or felony caseload.

SERVING AS A DEPUTY PUBLIC DEFENDER:

You are responsible to represent individuals facing prosecution. You are their voice and advocate. You will assist your client in navigating the criminal justice system. You will prepare his or her case, communicate with your client and appear in court on his or her behalf. You will prepare and appear at motion practice and conduct jury trials.
