MindPoint Group is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support all aspects of our Business Development (BD) process. The BD Analyst is responsible for the tracking, research, analysis and content development needed to produce BD deliverables, including market research, pipeline data, competitor data, executive briefings, meeting preparation and documentation, and file retention. The Analyst will provide our BD team with insights and data that positively impact decisions around sales strategy, operations, and implementation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to quickly absorb new information and build on newly-acquired skills. Through this position, you will have the opportunity to experience first-hand how a cybersecurity business development operates and you can have an immediate impact on helping the company achieve its growth objectives. You will work directly with company leadership and across the company, getting to work alongside a diverse group of colleagues in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

The BD Analyst is responsible for supporting the BD team. Duties include:

  • Manage and monitor reports daily from company markets intelligence subscriptions such as GovWin and other databases. Search for and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and run the pipeline and other BD reports for management review. Assist with managing the corporate pipeline.
  • Perform capture research and analysis to include research on the market, competitors, teaming, opportunity requirements, and stakeholder analysis.
  • Serve as the scribe for meetings, recording topics, action items, and responsibilities and getting the information distributed to the attendees in a timely manner following the session/meeting
  • Identify opportunities for improving BD operations
  • Support responses to RFI and Sources Sought requests including preparing the response outline and content authoring/gathering, editing, preparing checklists, formatting qualifications
  • Support responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) including authoring or gathering information for sections of the proposal including resumes, past performance, technical and management approaches
  • Edit, proof-read and format proposal documents
  • Support post-submission activities such as documenting lessons learned and cleaning up the final proposal files in the document repository
  • Gather customer accolades and achievements from the project team and update the central repository
  • Participate in company Capture activities to track and maintain MPG capabilities and discriminator documentation
  • Learn and adopt the MPG BD process for capture and proposals
  • Assist Capture and Proposal Manager in creating, making changes and/or maintaining proposal templates
  • Support the development and facilitation of company-wide BD training
  • Support BD contributions to marketing team efforts for materials, whitepapers, campaigns, etc.
  • Monitor and attend business development events, and ensure attendees have marketing collateral.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience supporting management level in business development, data gathering, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with online market intelligence solutions services
  • Desired familiarity and/or usage with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence software tools
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail; good spelling, grammar, and proof-reading skills
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and work to meet deadlines; Self-starter and proactive
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
  • 2 years of relevant experience required
