Never have the opportunities for a technical career been so limitless!Join our Aeronautics team as a Software Engineer to provide support for Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Operational Flight Program (OFP) development in the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF) at Hill AFB, Utah. Target environments will be embedded Microprocessors without Interlocked Pipeline Stages (MIPS) - a reduced instruction set computer (RISC) and Power PC based flyable hardware as well as a simulated Solaris or Linux environment for desktop testing. MIPS instruction set architecture (ISA) was developed by MIPS Technologies (formerly MIPS Computer Systems).Responsibilities include: Code development in C, C, Ada, and Assembly. Debugging using Green Hills Multi / AdaMulti tools. Maintain code and documentation within established configuration management systems: GIT and Dimensions. Participate in Peer Reviews of documentation and code. Must possess at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen. Software code experience with one or more of the following: C, C, C#, Java, Ada. Object-Oriented Design (OOD) software development experience. Experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling tools to develop software. Avionics software familiarity: Fire Control, Stores Management or Heads-up Display. Basic Linux or Unix command knowledge. Software configuration tool experience.Desired Skills:The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others: Software Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool experience. Software code experience with Ada. Experience with developing F-16 or other USAF fighter aircraft avionics software. Software development and debugging using Green Hills IDE tools. Kennedy-Carter UML software modeling experience. GIT software development configuration experience.Rhapsody UML modeling experience. Software Requirements traceability database tool experience.
