Conagra Foods QA Process Control Technician FULL-TIME $17/hr W8880 Co Rd X, Darien, WI 53114, Darien, WI 53114 SCOPE OF POSITION: The Micro Technician is responsible for execution of micro policies, maintenance of micro and environmental programs as they currently exist, and ensure compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements as they pertain to the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for routine media preparation, ATP, ACU swab sampling, environmental testing program, reading plates and logging data, preparing data trends. Troubleshoot issues that require corrective actions. Provide information to authorized personnel, and maintain laboratory and equipment in clean environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Train part-time help, when required, to ensure they are compliant with micro lab procedures. EDUCATION: Minimum Associate degree in food science or microbiology. Require working knowledge of MS Office Suite. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a micro lab, preferably in a food processing and packaging environment is a plus. SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES: Proficient with Microsoft Office, ability to work in a team environment, has a problem solving mindset. Has the ability to work a flexible schedule from time to time and in cold conditions. Must be able to collect environmental samples - floors, drains, as well as areas that require use of ladders/stairs. Flexible to work on weekends as needed, especially in summer months. Once trained, microbiologist must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Position requires good communication and technical skills and attention to detail.
