The Santa Barbara County Education Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Curriculum & Instruction department.
General description -
Perform a wide variety of advanced and complex office duties and administrative support functions. Employees in this position assume major responsibility for providing and maintaining current information about the County Education Office policies, rules, regulations and procedures, programs, and functions. This position specifically supports three directors who provide a variety of curricular and instructional services to school districts throughout Santa Barbara County. Interacts extensively with school districts, as well as parents and members of the public.
Requirements -
Education: Graduation from high school supplemented by evidence of business or office courses or administrative support experience
Experience - Four years of increasingly responsible office experience, including:
- Organizing and staffing events
- Making travel arrangements
- Taking meeting minutes
- Providing fiscal support with purchase orders, invoicing, billing, contracts
- Use of software, including Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Dropbox, Google suite, and enterprise databases
