We are currently hiring for an Administrative Assistant position in the Santa Barbara area. This position is full-time and temp-to-hire. The payrate for this position is $21 to $24 an hour. If you are interested and qualified submit a resume ASAP

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery

Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed

Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity

Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements

Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used

Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs

Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations

Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company

Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records

Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner

Places orders for office related consumables

Filing

Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, USPS etc.

QA Records: copy, scan and file quality records. Work with the QA department in miscellaneous duties

Type letters, mail and address requested documents to vendors or customers

Place calls to providers of building maintenance (janitors, landscapers, HVAC services, copier etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years minimum related experience and/or training

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement.

Use whole numbers, fractions, decimals etc.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret bar graphs
