Vinson Hall Retirement Community, a continuing care retirement community, located in the heart of McLean, VA is currently seeking experienced housekeepers for full time openings.
Job Summary: Under general direction, cleans all areas of the community by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, resident apartments, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
Willing to work as a team member.
Experience in geriatrics preferred.
1)Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
2)Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
3)Work with the Housekeeping Lead to complete move-in cleans, and to help in the refurbishment of individual apartments.
4)Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
5)Utilize safe practices when performing all tasks.
6)Discard infectious wastes into proper containers.
7)Maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas and carts; perform regular inspection of resident apartments for sanitation, order, and safety.
8)Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
9)Clean common areas, hallways, stairways, and elevators,
10)Ability to read, write, and speak the English language as to be understood by the public.
