Job Description

The main purpose of this position is responsible for ensuring that the Company aircrafts are maintained in accordance with Company, FAA, and manufacturer’s requirements. This is a safety sensitiveposition.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listedposition.

  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of parts on the aircraft in a timely manner. Coordinate all maintenance work. Ensure that all work is completed before finalinspection. Ensure that all test equipment is calibrated and maintained. Must follow the, FAA, andMFG’s maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure the quality of the aircraft, engine and avionics maintenance and repair.
  • Establish and maintain schedules for periodic inspection, general overhaul, repairs and modifications.
  • Maintain records required by FAR’s, manufacturers and company policy.
  • Maintain maintenance safety rules and procedures and ground support equipment inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with all Service Bulletins (SBs) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
  • Assist the Director of Aviation with assessing aircraft cost studies and recommending proper staffing levels needed for maintenance.
  • Coordinate activities of the maintenance department with flight operations. Ensure that maintenanceand flight crew personnel understand the company’s procedures.
  • Establish programs for maintenance technician proficiency training, reviews, and upgrades inaccordance with FAA and company recommendations.
  • Direct the compliance of minimum equipment list (MEL) maintenance procedures.
  • Establish and manage aircraft handling procedures.
  • Assist the Director of Aviation with the development and management of department policies and plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications

  • Management skills commensurate with position
  • Knowledge of Falcon 900 and Falcon 50 airplane general maintenance.
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to understand the operation of an aircraft’s system and solve complex system and procedural problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skills in working with tools needed in diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Five years experience with the maintenance of similar turbine aircraft preferred.
  • Current Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate with Inspection Authorization
  • preferred.
