Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Millwright / Machinist to perform machining and repair functions on water well pumps and a variety of tool joint threads, broaching, and other projects.

Requirements are as follows;

An ideal candidate would have 3+ years Millwright and Machinist Experience and be familiar with vertical turbine pump repairs.

Must be able to work on shafts, bearings, couplings, pumps, pipes and general items as deemed necessary.

Bearings: Proper machining, mounting and analyzing failures,

Couplings: Inspect, machining and proper alignment,

Pumps: Machining parts, installation and alignment,

Pipe & Tubing: Pipe threading, machining and installation.

Knowing API threads and tool joints is a plus.

Machining Equipment: Lathes, Mills,

General: Forklift operation, ability to use common tools (grinders, band saw, drills, etc.)

Must be able to work in hot and humid areas

Must follow all safety policies and procedures

Be able to read drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, etc.

Transport or lift tools or material weighing up to 50 pounds

Physically able to work extended shifts when emergencies arise not to exceed 12 hours.

Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive

Work positions include standing, sitting, walking, bending/twisting, squatting, overhead, kneeling.
