Air Courier(FT-30+Hrs)

Job Description

We are looking for an Air Courier (30+ hours per week) in our Chicago, IL location.

Schedule : Friday to Sunday 10 : 00 am to 10 : 00 pm Flexible to work 3-4 days per week for 10-12 hours depending on flight plan.

Position Summary :

Airline couriers, also known as air couriers and on-board couriers, fill a need for air courier services that deliver specimens via passenger airlines.

Couriers give up their baggage allowance for the goods that will need be delivered.

Position Responsibilities :

Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following :

Safely retrieve and transport lab specimens, medical records and related material in a timely manner. All specimens are pickup from location and drop off at a destination laboratory

Transport box through airport that meets the FAA guidelines through security and onto the plane as carry-on luggage.

Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to change based on business need

Must be flexible and available based on days assigned; weekends, holidays, and overtime

Maintain open communication channels with centralized team throughout travel process

Great problem solving and interpersonal skills

Must be adaptable and dependable in challenging travel situations related to flight plan changes

Hands on knowledge of mobile apps for efficient ground and air transportation

Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction

Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules

Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Passport for travel

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree

TSA pre-check approved

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry box up to 45 pounds

Sit for long periods of time
