GROUNDS JOB DESCRIPTION

Promotes the community and the rental of apartments by maintaining the outdoor appearance (curb appeal) of the community.

Some essential functions of this position include:

Regular monitoring of the grounds, parking areas and driveways, grounds personnel remove debris keeping them attractive and clean.

Landscape maintenance (irrigation, fertilizing, weeding, pesticide/herbicide application, pruning and trimming).

Snow removal.

Assists the Manager as needed, as well as residents, in a polite and professional manner.

GROUNDS JOB REQUIREMENTS

Due to the nature of our business and the resulting organizational structure, it is essential that all employees be willing and able to perform functions in a number of different areas.

Must have a valid driver's license

Reliable transportation

Willing to submit to a background/criminal history check

Available to work evenings and weekends

Physical requirements

Communicate effectively and correctly

Basic skills in lawn/tree care and irrigation

Able to trim trees and other plant material

Qualified with respect to the laws governing pesticide application and able to obtain state pesticide certification

Able to work in temperatures of 100 degrees or below freezing while working outdoors
