Job Description

The Business Data Analyst Manager’s role will focus on the first two pillars. In Data and Systems, BSi create resource and business data standards to deliver fast and reliable PD-wide metrics and analyses. In Insights and Decision Support, BSi delivers insightful business recommendations for PD and Operations decisions by synthesizing data and aligning cross-functionally.Key responsibilities for the Manager, Business Data Analyst include:Provide project leadership: Lead analyst for all requests. Interface with requestor to understand data analysis requirements, questions to be answered, and determine the approach to answer the question at the right level.Provide data insights: Perform end-to-end data analysis, including data discovery and validation, ETL, data QA, advanced analysis (including statistical), visualization and presentation of data to senior leadership.Provide BSi Data SME leadership: Drive continuous improvement efforts on automation of data by interfacing with data SMEs across the organization. Act as BSi SME on data platforms and data sets.Qualifications:Expert in SQL and Python (could be substituted with an equivalent language such as R)Expert in Tableau or equivalent visualization softwareExpert in data discovery, validation, extraction, transformation and loading.High-level strategic thinking and strong analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multitask; effectively prioritize, plan, and follow through on complex projectsDemonstrated proficiency in solving complex problems; ability to work independently; proactively seek outside resources and collaborate; team player with strong leadership and decision-making skills
