OVERVIEW The Cape Cod Adolescent Treatment Center in South Yarmouth is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic individuals for activity facilitation and limit setting for adolescent males in a group home setting. A high comfort level dealing with young males and strong role-modeling skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Cape Cod Adolescent Treatment Center in South Yarmouth provides services in a group home setting that include crisis intervention; individual/family therapy and respite to youth ages 12-19 from Massachusetts. Youth are referred by the Department of Children and Families. They are working through a range of issues including substance abuse, truancy, domestic violence and aggression. The Center is a safe, encouraging environment in which youth have the opportunity to overcome challenging circumstances. Services are also offered to youth and families as they transition from the program back into the community. DUTIES INCLUDE Coordinate and supervise therapeutic activity groups Maintain the safety and well-being of the residents and fellow staff. Physically restrain students as necessary in accordance to RFK policy and procedure. Provide safe adult supervision and act as a positive role model for residents. Communicate directly, clearly and respectfully in verbal and written form. Provide recreational activities Facilitate psycho-educational groups.
