A Day in the Life as a Certified Nursing Assistant

As a float pool CNA at Monarch, you arrive for each shift at the appointed facility determined to treat each of your patients with respect and kindness. You do everything you can to preserve their dignity, as you provide the individualized physical, psychological, and social support that they need. Your positive attitude makes a huge impact in their lives as you spend so much one-on-one time with them assisting with all the activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, walking, and positioning. You treat those you care for the same way you would want your own family members treated. You love people and enjoy interacting with patients and residents, as well as family, visitors, and other healthcare providers. You work together with the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. Your attention to detail and accuracy helps ensure the highest quality care for our patients and residents. You also participate in care conferences as requested by the nurse. You are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of your patients and residents to the nurse. Under the nurse's direction, you and the other staff cooperate to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of the residents and staff. In healthcare, it could be said that CNA's are the front-line staff. To many, you are the face of our company! Your skilled and compassionate care brings comfort to our residents and peace-of-mind to their families and loved ones. You go home each day tired but feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of many.

Qualifications

Current registration with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry

Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of Minnesota Department of Human Services.

A Day in the Life of a Licensed Practical Nurse

As a float pool LPN at Monarch, you arrive each day at the appointed location determined to ensure that your patients are happy, healthy, and safe. You are responsible for the nursing care of our residents under the direction of the registered nurse. You are a part of the front-line staff which is most visible to our residents and their loved ones. You treat those you care for the same way you would want your own family members treated. You love people and enjoy interacting with patients and residents, as well as family, visitors, and other healthcare providers. You are involved in the care planning process and you adhere to standards of care and follow specific policies and procedures. You complete charting, facilitate all physician orders, administer medications, sign out medications and treatments, obtain and transcribe physician orders, and documents PRN's. You observe, document, and report findings to the RN. You also provide leadership for the nursing assistants. You lead by example and mentor and coach them on providing quality care and inspire them to do it with a genuinely positive and caring attitude. Your good leadership helps maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff. To many, you and the CNA's you supervise are the faces of our company! Your skilled and compassionate care brings comfort to our residents and peace-of-mind to their families and loved ones. You go home each day tired but feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of many.

Qualifications

Current registration as a licensed practical nurse in the state of Minnesota

Valid CPR Certificate

Successful completion of an approved school of nursing

A Day in the Life as a Registered Nurse

As a float pool RN at Monarch, you arrive each day at the appointed facility determined to ensure that the patients are happy, healthy, and safe. You manage and supervise the care of residents through a well-defined care delivery system. You systematically keep track of data and do assessments. You develop care plans according to standards of care, implement them, and revise them as necessary. To you, the patients' needs always come first and you ensure that any and all call lights are answered promptly and courteously. You complete charting and facilitate the implementation of physician's orders. You administer medications accurately, ensuring proper documentation. You follow and promote proper infection control procedures at all times, maintaining a safe and clean environment for everyone. You provide leadership for the LPNs and nursing assistants. You lead by example. You mentor and coach them on providing quality care and inspire them to do it with a genuinely positive and caring attitude. You set the tone for the front-line staff. It is due to your leadership that our residents receive competent care while feeling heard and respected.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time or part-time position, hours would vary. You would get to work varied shifts at various locations based on the needs of Monarch Healthcare management.
