JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Mold Estimator/Sales Engineer Position : Fulltime / Exempt Location: Wakefield, MI Manager : No Reports to: Director of Centralized Quoting The focus of this position will be to Concept and Develop Mold Quotations for all Toolmaking Sites within the Westfall organization. Employee will also assist with Internal Sales Activities and Account Development relative to the same. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Logs all Quote Requests and maintains/stores files on network as required.
- Develops Mold Concepts from customer RFQ data as required.
- Develops a Mold Quote from the Mold Concept.
- Once the Quote is complete, submits Mold Quotations to Client or Westfall Sales Staff.
- Keeps the Director of Centralized Quoting apprised of opportunities requiring follow-up or are close to receiving orders on. Good communication is essential.
- When new order is received, the Estimator sends all Quotes and supporting information to the Site Program Manager/Project Engineer for Job Setup.
- Required to stay up to date on current Shop Rates and Costing for Mold Bases, Hot Runner, Steel, etc. Will work with the Director of Centralized Quoting on this.
- Participates in Client Meetings/Sales Calls with Director of Centralized Quoting as required.
- Participates in Trade Shows/Sales Efforts with Director of Centralized Quoting as required.
- Shares ideas about Vision, Strategy, and Sales development with Director of Centralized Quoting.
- Client communication and development as required, both verbal and in person. Goal is to develop strong working relationship with each of the clients we interface with.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Quotes completed in timely, accurate manner. Goal is to complete within 48 hours of submission, but more importantly to meet the Customer's completion target.
- Quote accuracy determined by Closed Job Costing review at Program completion.
- Client Satisfaction relative to Accuracy and Timeliness of the Quotations.
- The Employee plays a key role and will be expected to work with the Director of Centralized Quoting to understand current Site capacities and help secure an adequate workload for them at all times.

- Ability to work independently.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Technical Degree preferred.
- Advanced Degree a plus.
- Hands on Mold making, Engineering, and Molding experience required.
