Part-time Veterinary Technician

Santa Fe Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician. Must be a reliable team player with a positive attitude. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and work independently are important. Experience is preferred but will train the right candidate.

Job will include:

patient check-in and rooming (patient history, restraint, drawing vaccines)

laboratory procedures including preparing and reading fecal and urine samples, and running in-clinic blood work, preparing samples for send-out.

restraint techniques for all animals including avian/exotic species

treatment and surgery assistance such as

- placing IV catheters, preparing and administering medications

- drawing blood

- running anesthesia

- radiology techniques

Willingness to answer phones and provide reception relief as needed.

Candidates will be asked to come for an initial interview followed by a working interview.

Santa Fe Animal Hospital is a busy small animal/exotics veterinary clinic. Our practice provides compassionate, long term care for our clients. We focus on service and all employees provide service oriented, friendly interactions with clients and patients.

- This is a part-time position with the possibility of becoming full-time. It requires flexible scheduling, including some evening and Saturday hours. No benefits are available for part-time employees.
