Black Butte Ranch has a rare opportunity available for an experienced Pastry Chef/Baker. In this position you will prepare all items for our various outlets, service and banquets, while adhering to menu/recipe specifications. You will work as a team member but must also be able to work independently while ensuring that guests receive only the highest quality food. The right individual will maintain standards of cleanliness and organization and will also help with special event preparations as well as other daily tasks as assigned by the Chef and Sous Chef.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To successfully perform this position, the individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty to the specifications of the kitchen requirements.
Skills required include advanced knife skills, the desire to perform in a generally positive manner and to be able to calculate to increase or decrease formulas or recipes by the proper equation.
The individual must possess advanced production and conceptual skills in baking necessary to execute preparation of recipes for menu items; this includes working knowledge of dough work, chocolate, pastry, cakes and other confections.
The individual must have the aptitude and coordination to facilitate the accurate and timely service of the menu for guest satisfaction.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment; To perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as a part of a team, as well as, complete assignments independently; To take instruction from supervisors; To exercise problem solving skills; and to interact with coworkers, supervisors, guest and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
