About the Program

Hourglass Community Crisis Center is a program designed to provide 24/7 support to individuals who suffer from mental illness. This Crisis Center will be available 24/7 to accept individuals referred by law enforcement, community providers and individuals themselves for mental health crisis assessment, stabilization, and active linkages to community providers for same-day or next-day follow-up support services.

About the Positions

We have availability for On Call Qualified Mental Health Professionals who possess a combination of skills and QMHP credentials to provide clinical services at our Hourglass Community Crisis Center in Eugene, OR. This position reports to the program administrator for day-to-day supervision and work assignments. There is potential to work full-time hours by accepting multiple shifts. These shifts can either be at their current program or at other nearby programs. On Call staff also have first priority for any internal positions that allow more hours or a promotional opportunity. You will have an opportunity to specify your availability on our online application.

Work Schedule: Days/Hours will vary and may include weekends & NOC Shifts

In this position QMHP’s are responsible for performing a Provisional Assessment for individuals experiencing crisis. The QMHP will also provide clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff and liaison with other community providers. In addition, while we are an organization that does not practice seclusion or restraint, we do still require our direct care staff to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which includes performing various physical, evasion and safety maneuvers in class.

Qualifications

MUST be QMHP Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO

MUST meet State of Oregon QMHP credentials:

a) Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field; Bachelor's degree in Nursing and be Licensed by the State of Oregon

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $23.00 per hour/DOE. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees. Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employees working 30 hours a week. All Part-Time/On-Call hourly employees receive time and a half when working a holiday and are eligible to receive up to 5 days of sick time and up to 12 days of vacation per year (accruals earned are based on hours worked). Wellness Benefit of up to $400 per year (prorated based on FTE). Our organization is qualified for federal student aid public service loan forgiveness program.
