Home care attendant / Caregiver

We are looking for an honest, caring, dependable person to help our elderly mother. Once very independent and spirited (and remains so!) she increasingly needs help.

We are looking for several caregivers as to provide 24/7 coverage. We will try to work with your schedule, and hopefully you will have at least 40 hours/ week available.

Mom is pleasant, although she does have some aches and pains. She uses a walker, needs help using the bathroom, getting dressed, and encouraged to exercise.

Meals are very simple, made ahead and usually just microwave or stovetop cooking, cutting up fruit or salad.

Mom uses a walker in the house and needs some help dressing, having meals heated, and reminding to take medications which are prepared and labeled in her pill boxes (we prepare four weeks ahead, for every meal).

If you stay overnight, there is a comfortable bed for you outside of mom’s room. You do not need to stay awake. You will hear her bed alarm ring when she gets up, you may help her use the potty chair.
