SummaryYou will serve as a Supervisory Chemist in the Laboratory Division C/134.4 of PSNS and IMF.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for scientific and technological service and guidance to all naval regional activities in the field of radiochemistry.You will conduct assigned research, development, test, training, and evaluation programs as directed, preparing and reviewing standards and specifications as requested.You will be responsible for and direct demonstrations of capability, proficiency testing, certifications, and accreditation.You will regularly review the overall workload of the Branch, determining necessary actions to meet productivity goals, setting work priorities, schedules, and time limits for assignments.You will comply with local, state, and federal regulations, Shipyard Instructions, and NAVSEA directives for the preparation of test documents.You will effectively participate and communicate with all levels of management both orally and in writing.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Chemist conducting research and development of chemistry or Radiochemistry materials for physical analysis and validation or certification.
