EDI & SQL Specialist

Description Position Summary We have an immediate need for an EDI & SQL Specialist who will work with our I.T., Customer Service and Accounting teams on various EDI and SQL tasks and projects. The candidate's primary responsibility will be to provide EDI support relating to our ERP system and EDI applications and also create and maintain adhoc SQL and SSRS reports. You'll also help analyze company and user needs, perform troubleshooting, recommend solutions, and provide training and support as required.Responsibilities-Improve the quality of EDI and related services delivered by IT.- Provide daily EDI operational support, transaction monitoring and exception management. Perform troubleshooting and resolution of issues, working with our Customer Service and Accounting Teams.-Utilize INOVIS (TDX) VAN and internal EDI mapper Altova Mapforce, for setup and troubleshooting.-Lead efforts to develop new EDI partnerships with customers and suppliers from initial requirements evaluation through execution, testing and production deployment, working on multiple concurrent partner implementations at one time.-Perform EDI analysis, research, and documentation of transactional data set requests, EDI specifications and issues from internal and external customers.-Function as technical liaison with technical contacts at trading partner and other organizations.-Document and manage help desk tickets associated with EDI problems.-Code SQL Reports using: SQL Server Management Studio Microsoft SSRS (this can be learned) Crystal Reports (this can be learned)SQL reports are often created using existing SQL, with customizations. However you MUST know SQL.-Develop training and implementation material as required.-Report back status to the I.T. team on a daily basis.-Perform other computer tasks and desktop or network support, assigned by I.T. Director, as your skills allow. Requirements Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities-Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline.-A minimum of four years of relevant EDI experience.-A minimum of three years of creating adhoc SQL reports from scratch and also modifying existing SQL.-Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and EDI Mapping Tools.-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal. Good listener.-Think outside of the box.
