This person will lead a team of talented professionals that will drive the evolution and expansion of the T-Mobile Network. We operate in a very fast-paced agile environment with quick decisions. We encourage innovation and expect you to take ownership and initiative. This role provides a unique opportunity to drive Technology direction for T-Mobile USA. The Manager of Cybersecurity will provide security assurance to development teams, business partners, and service partners. Integration with the cybersecurity community internal to T-Mobile and external with partners such as government, industry, and security organizations as necessary. This leader will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and effectively manage the time and effort of all individual contributors, projects, and associated initiatives. A strong understanding of security technologies, development practices, and best practices will be critical to success in this role. The team creates and maintains developer-centric application security tooling and seeks to raise application security posture in accordance with industry standard and T-Mobile security policies. The team also assists application owners to understand and implement the security aspects of their applications and advises on best security practices for new company projects and initiatives.Responsibilities

  • Mentor analysts, senior analysts, engineers, architects and cybersecurity individual contributors to promote successful performance and career growth in alignment with department and enterprise objectives
  • Demonstrate understanding of developer culture and how to integrate security with minimal developer push back
  • Demonstrate a mastery of the software development life cycle and an understanding of technical challenges that developers face; speak to specific code-level solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cybersecurity consultation on code, designs and/or implementation of cybersecurity controls ensuring adherence to T-Mobile security standards and/or best practices
  • Plan and execute appropriate protective measures to include policy, process, and overall cybersecurity awareness
  • Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to Digital Security
  • Develop strategy, roadmap, and requirements for enterprise information protection and application security to align with technology, product, and overall business strategy
  • Establishes and contributes to mutually beneficial shared goals with other teams. Adapts approach to accomplish team goals

Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of security and secure development best practices in large-scale environments
  • Experience with low level design architecture, security technologies, Networking, web services and SOA
  • Understanding of encryption, obfation, tokenization technologies
  • Strong presentation skills to large and small audiences
  • Discrete knowledge in similarities and differences between code languages, peculiarities, and usage patterns
  • Strong knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of cybersecurity
  • Strong understanding of T-Mobile's network elements and how they work together (EIT, Engineering & 3rd Party)
  • Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations e.g. SOX, PCI & CPNI
  • Medium to advance knowledge of Scripting tools (Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulatory controls threats, vulnerabilities, and overall risk profile of the enterprise (per team function)
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills necessary to engage with diverse cross functional groups and present effectively to small and large groups

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 4-7 year' cybersecurity technical experience
  • 1+ years' leadership experience
