Apex Systems is HIRING NOW for a Help Desk Technicians seated in Oak Ridge, TN with our top government client. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, and able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security clearance as a condition of employment. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provides first line technical support to computer customers with questions regarding account administration, distribution of software and documentation, system and network status, and problem entry via problem tracking tool.
- Maintain and update tracking tool.
- Performs predetermined work assignments with detailed instructions.
- Follows established guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.
- Knowledge of personal computers and a general understanding of computer networks.
- Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience is needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances.
- High school education or equivalent and 2+ years of technical experience.
- Must be able to obtain or maintain secret clearance (we can help you obtain one!)
- Must have CompTIA Security+ and ITIL certifications within first 30 days of employment
