Project: To provide management, and customer service agents, referred to as ambassadors, to assist arriving passengers at the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) in the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Federal Inspection Station (FIS), to facilitate the movement and clearance of international passengers through U.S. Customs via the use of Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks, the Mobile Passport Control (MPC) application, and Global Entry Kiosks (Global Entry).

Education and Experience:The project manager (PM) shall possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and at least five (5) years of experience in contract management and customer service, including administrative duties. Applicants may substitute additional management experience as defined above for up to four years of the required education. Therefore, an associate degree with seven (7) years of management experience, or high school degree with nine (9) years of management experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities:
  • The PM is responsible for the day-to-day performance of the entire customer service contract and has overall responsibility and control for the operations and work to be performed
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision, training, scheduling, inspection, and reporting of customer service activities per the contract
  • Supervise and direct the staff and monitor attendance and use guidance to attempt to correct employee performance issues
  • Must be fully familiar with the requirements of the contract, the schedules and ensure the proper skilled staffing levels are provided
  • Implement policies and procedures relating to all services covered the contract
  • Issue reports and summaries to the client as required
  • Responsible for the training of the on-site personnel in the performance of their duties
  • Responsible for the establishment of performance standards for each stage of the work performed.
  • Perform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual limitations, or as required by the client
  • Serve as a liaison to the client and report on progress or issues on the execution of the program. Must be able to compose and present these progress reports in a clear, concise, and highly professional fashion

Requirements:
  • Must possess superior customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess superior communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Open availability and flexibility are a must ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Must be dedicated to both security and customer service
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to comply with all security and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures, and follow protocol thoroughly and consistently
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day and work a full-time schedule
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
  • Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and obtain an Airport Badge
  • Previous hospitality or retail experience, a plus
  • Bilingual candidates, a plus
