Luxury residential custom home builder based in McLean, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their high growth team. Blending form and function, this high end builder creates living spaces in a niche market segment catering to high net worth individuals. As a company, we believe in a healthy balance between work and personal life, creating an environment for employees to be challenged and succeed within the company.Assist the Project Manager with gathering information needed for the online software platform Co-Construct.

May have interaction with subcontractors, inspectors, municipalities, interior designers, and clients.

Assist the PM to oversee the entire construction process including but limited to the following:

a) Pre-development work and inspections as required.b) All phases of the homebuilding process.c) May attend site meetings with clients and subcontractors.d) Post-construction service work during the warranty period.Creation of Excel spreadsheets or Word documents as needed.

Trustworthiness- The APM may be exposed to sensitive information. They will need to earn the trust of their manager and be responsible for guarding proprietary information. This character trait must be demonstrated through their loyalty to this high end home builder and their professionalism working with subcontractors and clients.

Responsible- The APM will work closely with the PM who is an integral part of the daily operation of this luxury builder. They must be a person who the PM can trust that what they say, they will do. Examples of this are completing tasks by deadlines, showing up on time to work, meetings and engagements, and communicating with managers and other employees with respect and professionalism.

Time Management- The APM will be required to multitask between various activities daily. Time management will be crucial in how efficient things get done, and to the level of accuracy, a task is completed.

Personable- The APM must be able to interact with a wide variety of people, including people of many different ethnicities, languages, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Problem Solving Skills- True problem-solving skills are an integral part of working with the PM.

Integrity- The APM will be someone that lives with integrity in their lives, and this will be shown in their work-life.

Technical Skills- The APM must possess a familiarity of home building, including, waterproofing and flashing knowledge, critical path systems and scheduling, product and material knowledge, best practices for installation of materials, and working knowledge of the technology inherent to our luxury homes.

Experience: 1-2 years experience assisting with the management of home building construction projects. Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
