JOB SUMMARY

  • Works under the Director of Safety, Health and Development to ensure safe and healthy staffing that is efficient and adequate for CCH. The Staffing Coordinator answers the employee hotline, uses protocols and policies to determine ability to work, assists with finding staffing and communicates closely with the House Supervisor and Employee Health. This position will work on staffing projects and in electronic staffing systems.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Accurately collects and documents employee information.
  • Follows schedule guidelines and scheduling policy.
  • Follows return to work policies.
  • Operates electronic staffing systems.
  • Assists with FMLA and LOA process
  • Provides service excellence to all customers.
  • Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.
  • Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Performs secretarial duties when needed.

  • Adheres to CCH policies and procedures.
  • Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school graduate or GED, medical terminology preferred.
  • Licensure: None
  • Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Computer skills required
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills needed. Able to communicate positively.
  • Essential Physical Requirements: Sitting, typing, speaking clearly on the telephone.
  • Essential Mental Abilities: Able to attend to multiple details simultaneously. Logically solve operational problems under stress. Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Essential Sensory Requirements: Corrected vision, hearing to normal range.
  • Exposure to Hazards: OSHA CATEGORY III. Identified job duties do not have any anticipation for contact with blood, contaminated body fluids or tissues.
  • Hours of Work: Hours may vary, up to 40 hours each week
  • Certifications required: See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
