POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Mental Health Counselor
Confidential Care is an established psychiatric and mental health practice in Wasilla that specialized in diagnostic assessments, individual and family/couples counseling, and medication management.
Specific Duties Performed:
Provide individual psychotherapy mainly to adults, however some child/adolescent therapy may be available if interested, and family/couples counseling.
Conduct a comprehensive mental health assessment of clients presenting circumstances, social and psychiatric history, and immediate needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all clinical work and documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
Work collaboratively with other providers and community agencies as needed for optimal client care.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
Fully licensed to practice in the state of Alaska.
Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet client needs, including some later afternoon and evening hours.
Must be able to pass a background check
The ideal candidate would already be participating in health insurance networks, but we understand that this might not be the case. We are willing to assist you in the enrollment process with BC/BS, Aetna, Tricare/TriWest, etc., as most patients seeking therapy with us are looking for a therapist in a healthcare network.
