Caretakers - 8 hrs/week, 28.35 hrs/week, 37.25 hrs/week

Greetings!

We are looking to hire three part-time and/or full-time caretakers for a senior woman who lives with us (her daughter and son-in-law) in Vacaville. We also watch our 2.5 year old granddaughter and would love if the employee could also help with the toddler at times. We are looking to cover three shifts and also have people with flexibility that can cover other shifts.

Here are three shift schedules we need to fill (we are looking for three people). Times might be slightly adjusted but this would be the general work schedule that we have come up with. This is also somewhat negotiable:

Shift A (28.25 hours/week)

Monday Night/Tues AM: 11:30pm-9:15am

Tuesday Night/Wed AM: 11:30pm-9:15am

Wednesday Night/Thurs AM: 12:30am-9:15am

Shift B (37.25 hours/week)

Wednesday PM Swings: 4:45pm-12:45am

Thursday Night/Fri AM: 11:30pm-7:15am

Friday Night/Sat AM: 11:30pm-7:15am

Saturday Night/Sun AM: 11:30pm-7:15am

Shift C (8 hours/week)

Sunday Afternoon PM: 4:00pm-8:00pm

Monday Afternoon PM: 4:00pm-8:00pm

During the swing shift and afternoon shift, the senior client will need help with using the bathroom, walking with a walker, going on walks, and being served food/drink. Also, if the senior woman is resting or reading, some help may be needed with light household chores or the toddler. During the grave night shift, most of the night the client will be sleeping but she will need help using the bathroom several times throughout the night. Generally, this is easier than day shift and we think it would be fine for someone to study or read/go on phone while client is sleeping. For this reason, we do not pay a night differential.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience caretaking

- Certified Home Caretaker

- CPR/First Aid

- Experience filling out log books

- Speaks English well

- Ability to cover other shifts

- Light housework like laundry

- How to bathe & bathroom elderly clients

COVID-19 considerations:

In response to COVID-19, we mostly limit the people visiting the house to caretakers and encourage hand-washing or glove wearing at times. We also allow caretakers to wear face-masks but do not require this.
