A 1:1 works directly with an individual to provide one-to-one assistance with daily living skills. The position is full-time 30 hours a week it will be from 3:30pm -9:00pm a couple days a week and 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday, assisting the individual in independent activities, providing opportunities for community immersion.

As a valued member of our staff, we will look to you to assist with the general oversight of the day to day functions of the individual at their day program and provide assistance and support in a manner that ensures their health, safety and happiness.

General Qualifications:

Love of People.

Desire to help others achieve their full potential.

Common sense and good judgment.

Ability to think ahead and take initiative.

Experience supporting adults with intellectual developmental disabilities is helpful.

Ability to use email and computer.

Require CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire it.

MUST be able to drive a regular passenger van: Valid drivers license; Clean DMV record

Pass criminal background check with both DOJ and FBI.

Pass Occupational physical, including a TB Test and meet physical requirements of job.

Must possess or pass both DSP (Direct Support Provider) I and II, within first 12 and 24 months of hire,Cedars will set up training options for certification.

Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
