Drafter/Detailer

Living Design Studios is a team of artisans that design, fabricate, and install specialized architectural and ornamental related projects. Our design team is constantly coming up with creative solutions to tough challenges and always keeping our clients' design-intent at the forefront. Based in Erie, CO, our work is featured in museums, luxury retail stores, civic buildings, worship spaces, hotels, airports and high-end homes, and contract regularly with the premier contractors in United States. We build feature staircases, art installations, outdoor and home furnishings, artworks, custom doors, windows and much more.

We are interested in candidates with a range of experience. Applicants should be experienced with detailing for construction, learning and working with a team, identifying complex problems, and asks great questions.

Requirements:

- Background in detailing, construction, and/or fabrication

- Experience in industrial design or other production related design is a plus

- Knowledge and experience in metalwork is a huge plus

- Working knowledge and experience in field measurements

- Proficient in Rhino, Fusion 360 and Bluebeam experience is a plus

- Understand and interpret drawings, specifications and be able to create drawings for fabrication

- Strong math skills, an aptitude for computer systems and apps, and acute attention to detail

- Assist with field measuring, layout, fabrication, and install

- Be able to identify and elaborate on the client’s design intent in relationship to our scopes of work

- Expect to prepare take-off documents that adhere to our processes/policies

- Demonstrate excellent document control and organization, digitally and physically

- Seeking personable, self-starters, team-players and collaborators

- Excellent communication skills are required

- Enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
