Quality Tire Company has immediate openings for full-time commercial tire service technicians.

We are looking for applicants with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn new skills and a team player mentality. Excellent customer interaction/service skills are a must. Our focus is mainly on commercial tire service (semi tires) and earth mover tires, but we also perform service for all other types of tires.

Previous experience in the tire industry is a requirement.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

-Ability to handle physically demanding manual work

-Must be able to work in a warehouse environment (inside/outside)

-Must be able to lift 60+ pounds on a regular basis

-Lifting, standing, reaching and climbing is required on an ongoing basis

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivering tires to local businesses.

Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing all types of tires from passenger to semi truck tires.

Check for needed additional service and determine if replacement or repair is necessary.

Drive company truck to destinations.

Meet DOT and OSHA regulations on a daily basis.

Maintain tools, equipment, and delivery truck in efficient operating condition, keep clean (inside & out).

Unload and load tire and related items from truck as required.

Adhere to all traffic and speed regulations, while maintaining a good driving record.

Attend meetings held by Store Manager and Safety Director.

Process all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

Observe all safety rules and procedures associated with performance of duties.

Use personal protective equipment according to regulations and policies.

Qualifications

Previous tire service experience is required.

Attendance is essential.

Valid Driver's License with good driving record.

CDL preferred but not required.

Nights and weekends may be required - must be flexible with schedule.

Willingness and ability to work outdoors year round.

Exposure to various chemicals used in cleaning, lubrication, etc.

Frequent bending, twisting and lifting over 50 pounds on a regular basis.

75+ pounds of pressure when pushing tires.

Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, MVR, and background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $25.00 /hour + Commission based on experience.
