Position Overview

The Human Resource Generalist manages all daily administrative functions. This role plans and executes all HR activities including staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development. This role also manages all compliance and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a superior workforce by anticipating staffing needs, recruiting top talent, orienting new team members, and supporting development opportunities for existing team members
  • Administer compensation and benefits timely and coordinate with Accounting to ensure all necessary transactions are recorded
  • Maintain performance management systems and safeguard all employee documentation
  • Develop and publish HR policies as needed
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and other issues
  • Lead compliance with all governmental agencies related to employment and malt beverage sales
  • Provide recommendations to optimize benefits and better engage employees
  • Keep our people safe by ensuring safety training programs are in effect, and monitoring the tracking of OSHA-required data
  • Coordinate and ensure coverage for all insurance needs
  • Engage with regulators to manage all state and federal compliance, including registering new labels and obtaining/maintaining licenses
  • Lead planning and coordination of monthly employee meetings and annual holiday event
  • Additional administrative duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven success in a Human Resource role
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Professional and engaging oral and written communication style
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and process implementation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel
  • Highly effective collaboration, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments
  • Experience with manufacturing and food service industries a plus
  • SAP-based software and basic accounting experience a plus!
